Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBEVERLY KATHLEEN LYSYSHIN After a courageous battle with lupus, we sadly announce the passing of Beverly Kathleen Lysyshin, age 61, on Tuesday, October 2, 2007. She was predeceased by her parents; Nellie Rizchynski (nee Wladyka) in 1979 and Russell Rizchynski in 1999, and her late husband Dennis Murray in 2005. Beverly was born in Winnipeg on January 28, 1946. She was a very active person who worked hard and enjoyed life being creative filling her backyard with beautiful gardens and flowers potted in every imaginable container from beach pails, tool boxes, straw hats, elephants, teapots and many others. She also loved to dance, and would dance the night away, until sadly, spinal cord injuries left her unable to walk. During her life, she worked at many fine catering jobs, she was in charge of the Food Beverage Department at the Winnipeg Convention Centre for several years, and finally she worked at the Winnipeg Taxation Centre for 25 years before her retirement. At the taxation centre she was always proud of her involvement with the union and the health and safety department. A favourite pastime of hers was zooming around the in her electric wheelchair shopping for bargains at the mall. She was always well prepared for upcoming birthdays or holidays, at times it was like a treasure hunt, trying to locate presents that she had bought months ago. In her home she loved to display her collection of elephants, family photos, and her holiday decorations. Bev was a devoted grandmother; her grandchildren were her Sunshine . They brightened her days and she always looked forward to her visits. They were her pride and joy and she loved to spoil them. Her grandchildren will miss her dearly. Her memory will be cherished by her daughters; Cindy Lysyshin (Lyle) of Winnipeg, and Debbie Chubaty (Tom) of Madison, Wisconsin, granddaughters; Kimberley, Julie, and Ally Chubaty of Madison, Wisconsin, and grandson Steve Chubaty (Crystal) of Winnipeg, Dennis' daughters; Donna Franklin (Russ) and granddaughter Marissa Tylipski (Ryan) of Winnipeg, and daughter Colleen McIntyre (Allan) of Winnipeg. She also leaves behind an especially dear cousin, Grant Madison of Winnipeg, who was always there for her and her family. Despite all of her health problems, she remained in her own home until the last month of her life. This would not have been possible without the love and care of her dedicated home care attendants; Lindsay, Jen, Preet, Flo, Janet, April, and Barb. During her last month in the hospital her Girls continued to be at her bedside around the clock. We will be forever grateful for your loving devotion and care for our mother. Thank you to her doctors at the Health Sciences Centre, and her long time family practitioner Dr. Eva Smil for their care. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 9 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Road. Cremation will follow and a private family interment will take place at a later date. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald Street 253-5086
