Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN ALLAN MORCOMBE John Allan Morcombe, of Oak Lake, Manitoba, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, October 2, 2007. Allan was born on October 15, 1945 in Holland, Manitoba. He lived in Cypress River until the age of nine, before relocating to Oak Lake, where he resided until his passing. Allan completed his education at Oak Lake High School. He was editor of Oak Lake News, then an Imperial Oil Agent and Sales Representative. Allan was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch and the Oak Lake Golf Course. He was an avid sportsman enjoying curling, baseball, hunting and had a passion for golf. As a child and young adult, Allan loved playing hockey and later in life he enjoyed coaching hockey. Allan will be lovingly remembered by his wife Faye Morcombe; daughters, Christi Morcombe (fiancé Chris Hiebert), and Kara Morcombe; son Perry (Carrie) Morcombe and grandson Ry Morcombe. Allan was predeceased by his parents, Charles Roy Morcombe and Maria Madeleine Morcombe. The Ceremony to Celebrate Allan's Life will be held at Oak Lake Community Hall, Oak Lake, Manitoba on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Harvey Hurren will officiate. Urn bearer will be Perry Morcombe. Interment will follow in the Oak Lake Cemetery. Donations in memory of Allan may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, Palliative Care Unit, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 2B3.
