STEPHEN C. TOWLE It is with everlasting sorrow that I announce the peaceful passing of my beloved husband Steve, on October 3, 2007, losing his battle with cancer. Steve is survived by his loving wife Herta; sons, Greg (Kelly), Mark (Shannon), D'Arcy and Jason; daughters, Monica (Ken) and Melanie; grandchildren, Sam, Keely, Christian, Alyssa, Kurtis, Michael, Rebecca, Richard, Myles and Stephen; three great-grandchildren; Herta's children, Monika (Juergen) and Stephen (Gaby); grandchildren, Alexander, Stephanie, Sabine and Oliver; brother Bill; sisters-in-law, Rose (Erwin), Susie (Adolf), Erna and Erika (Ken) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his sisters, Molly, Mabel and Eileen. Steve was born in Somerset, MB on June 10, 1934. He worked for Scott Bathgate for the last 24 years along with his wife Herta. Steve was a fun loving person, especially enjoyed his whistling and television programs. The girls at work loved him. He was a kind and gentle soul. Herta would like to thank Greg for his kind help during this difficult time. Thanks also to the nursing staff at palliative care on the 8th floor at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion and special gratitude to Dr. Crow and Dr. John. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 8 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 9 at 10:30 a.m. also at the Chapel. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery.
