BELLE MINUK MEYERS 1915-2007 A lifelong resident of Winnipeg died peacefully at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her husband Hy Meyers in 1997. Belle leaves behind her two sons, Jerry (Ellyn) Meyers of San Francisco, Paul (Cheryl) Meyers of Vancouver, three grandchildren, Brent (Deborah) Meyers of San Francisco, Marlo (Steven) Barer of San Francisco, Jeff (Mel) Meyers of London, England; four great-grandchildren, Julia and Justin Meyers, Jake and Drew Barer; her brothers Judge Sam (May) Minuk, Harry Minuk, brother-in-law Syd (Miriam) Myres, sisters-in-law Sylvia Meyers and Edith Minuk. She also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Belle was an active volunteer in the Winnipeg community, helped establish the entertainment program for the Sharon Home and was honored by the Mayor of Winnipeg and the Premier of Manitoba as Volunteer of the Year. The family wish to thank Norma Claudio, Belle's very special caregiver, who kept her laughing, loving, active and beautiful. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, October 7, at 12:30 p.m. at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shalom Home or the Jewish Child and Family Services.
