MYRON KOTYLUK Peacefully, at St. Boniface Hospital, Myron Kotyluk passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at the age of 89 years. Myron is lovingly remembered by Mae, his wife of 61 years, son Lorne, daughters, Darlene (Calvin), Shelley (Norm), granddaughters, Kristen (Jason) and Stacey and great-granddaughters, Meadow and Allyssa; sisters, Olga and Mary (Metro). He was predeceased by his parents, Philip and Katherine, brothers, Peter, Michael, John, Paul and Martin and grandson Wesley. Dad was born, raised and educated in Garland, Manitoba. He farmed with his family, served with the Winnipeg Grenadiers, and later moved to Winnipeg to continue raising his family. Myron was employed by Centra Gas until his retirement. He was a faithful member of the Holy Eucharist Parish and was active in supporting many cultural and charitable organizations. Dad loved life. His perfect world included his family, a love of nature and music, a strong sense of humour and quietly putting others before himself. His deep faith in God sustained him through the most difficult times in his life. Our family will always be grateful for the excellent care and compassion that Dad received from the medical staff of E5 at St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation in Myron's memory. Pallbearers include Ernie Didur, Syl Didur, Harry Kostuik, Douglas Swidinski, Emile Picklyk and Mike Zazula. Prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Munroe and Watt. Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2007, also at the church. Interment will follow immediately at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
