Isaac was born and raised in Fisher River and began work at a very young age with his father. His first job was picking rock at Shy Lake. He went on to work in a variety of jobs, such as fishing, diamond drilling, pulp cutting and heavy equipment operating, which allowed him to travel to many places and through this many friendships were formed. His most enjoyable job was when he worked on the construction of the Golf Course at the Perimeter of 59. Isaac and his wife opened their home to students Huey, William, Sheldon, Shawn, Edward, Adrienne, Amelia, Kayla and Jill of Berens River that had attended Charles Sinclair School. These children became just like their own. Isaac was especially proud of his namesake, adopted grandson Isaac Ross of Berens River. Dad accepted Jesus in his heart in 1992. He attended church regularly and loved to encourage family, friends and strangers about God's goodness and mercy. He encouraged everyone to love one another. Dad enjoyed singing and playing his omnichord, sometimes along with friend Andrew Murdock. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Cancercare Unit, Health Science Centre staff, Percy E. Moore staff, Fisher River Health Centre staff and his many friends that showed support through visits, songs, prayers and deeds. Thank you to sister Beatrice and Florence for helping mom. Also to Reverend Barry Bear and wife Freda. Wake service will be on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. and the funeral service on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 with the viewing beginning at 1:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Fisher River Community Hall with Reverend Lawrence Murdock officiating.
