Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWIN DARRYL LEGARY Edwin Darryl Legary passed away on October 1, 2007. Ed will forever be loved and remembered by his children Jason (Amanda), Kelly and Shawn Legary. Two grandsons, Hayden and Landon, and Wendy McMillian. Ed was born in Crystal City, Man and lived in Pilot Mound for his childhood years. He moved to Selkirk and Portage la Prairie to complete his training as a Psych Nurse and an RN. He then moved to Winnipeg with his new family to start working as a Social Worker with the Government of MB. This is a job he held until his retirement in 2005. Ed was a very active athlete. He played competitive hockey his whole life and enjoyed baseball and golfing for many years with his close friends.He even ran the full marathon in 1979 with no training. (He completed in 4:40 but lost his toe nails in the process). He was very active in getting his children involved in sports and always was there are as a proud parent rooting them on. Graveside service will on Thursday October 11, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Vital Cemetery 236 River Road. Take my Hand Our first steps, he was there to say, Here take my hand. Our first Band-Aids he was there to say, Here take my hand. Our first time on a pair of skates he was there to say, Here take my hand. Our first jump off the diving board he was there to say, Here take my hand. Our first losses and our first wins he was there to say, Here take my hand. Now Dad, it's our turn to say, Take each of our hands and each of our hearts and hold on forever. You are at peace now and you will be missed.
