JEAN (MILDRED) TOEWS Peacefully with her family by her side, Mrs. Jean (Mildred) Toews, aged 73 years, passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on Sunday October 7, 2007 in Winnipeg, MB. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Jim of 40 years, her 11 children, Dora, Geneva (Ken), Steven (Evelyn), Linda, Betty Jean (Art), Barb (Allen), Heidi, Milton (Cindy), Sherry (Ben), Jamie (Nikki), Georgina (Mitch); along with her 32 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her four sisters and one brother. She was predeceased by her one son, Albert John (1977); son-in-law John-Paul (1977), and sister-in law Faye Cooper (1997). She enjoyed traveling with her husband Jim in the semi, along with long drives to various parts of the country. She also enjoyed dining with her family at various restaurants, and was especially fond of bingo, yatzee and reading, along with crossword puzzles, but was most fond of spending time with her family and friends at her Ste. Anne camper. She touched the hearts of many, and will be sorrowfully missed by her cherished family and friends. A celebration of life ceremony was held at Voyage Funeral Home on Monday, October 8, 2007 officiated by Pastor Ivan Blakney. Cremation has taken place. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Concordia Emergency Department, along with the 2nd floor ICU staff at the St. Boniface Hospital.
