GERMAINE LAGASSE (nee MORIN) November 18, 1928 - October 5, 2007 After a lengthy illness and courageous battle with cancer, Germaine passed away peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 78. Germaine loved her weekly involvement at the Club Amical. Everyone always looked forward to her homemade buns. In her quiet way, Germaine was always willing and very efficient at helping out many charities close to her heart, never turning anyone away. Many charities benefited from the countless hours she spent knitting, crocheting and sewing. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, always having their favourite baked treats ready for them. Company always received a warm welcome with a home-cooked meal and a game of cards was sure to follow. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Laurent; children, Pauline, husband Normand Lemoine, their children Colette, Lianne and Rémi; Gisèle, husband Albert Dumesnil, son Ronald; Alain; Pierre, wife Sheila, their children Christian, Nicole and Luc; and Solange. Also left to cherish her memory are brothers and sisters, Victor (Fernande), René (Helen), Alice Lacroix, Lévis (Corinne), Henri (Donalda), Albina Lapointe, Raymond (Linda), Maurice (Jeannine), Irène Collette (Raymond); sisters-in-law, Madeleine Morin, Sr. Laurette Lagassé, Sr. Pauline Lagassé and Alma Lagassé; brother-in-law André Lagassé (Sharon); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
