MARVIN CARTER ECKSTEIN 1927 - 2007 Sadly, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather Marvin Carter Eckstein on Saturday, October 6, 2007, at the Concordia Hospital. Marvin is survived by his loving wife Helen; three children, Tobie Mae (Ron), Brett (Pennie) and Hollie (Roy); nine grandchildren, Sarah (Jessy), Lisa, Ashley, Rebecca, Matthew, Keenan, Vanessa, Monica and Nicholas. He was predeceased by his parents Philip and Margaret Eckstein. Marvin was born on July 2, 1927, residing most of his life in Elmwood, and later in North Kildonan. Marvin was a devoted husband to his wife Helen and cherished his children and grandchildren. Being an only child, Marvin's family was very important to him. He was always helpful to family and friends. He enjoyed the years he spent playing hockey in East Elmwood on the Old-timers team. Marvin was a private, loyal man and worked many years in the car business with Purves Motors and later with General Binding Corporation. The family extends its sincere thanks to Dr. David Reimer, Dr. Pat Harris and the wonderful caring staff at the Concordia Hospital; to all the visiting nurses for their care and advice; also a thank you to the Winnipeg paramedics for the special attention and care provided. A memorial service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, on Friday, October 12 at 11:00 a.m. Cropo Funeral Chapel 586-8044
