Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM EARL SAMPSON Sadly, we announce the sudden passing of William Earl Sampson on Friday, October 5, 2007 at the age of 84. Earl was predeceased by his parents, Emily and Ernest, his sisters, Mary, Annie and Clara and his brothers, Cliff, George and Frank. Earl will be lovingly remembered by his wife Helen of 62 years, his sons, Brian (Sandie) and Kenneth (Kei), his daughters, Mary Beth (Stan), Rosemary (Rick) and Catherine (Michael). Also his grandchildren, Christopher, Rosanna (Morgan), Jonathan, Benjamin and Kalinda (Trevor), his great-grandchildren, Hailey and Jaya and his brother Allan. Earl will also be missed by his numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Earl was born in Douglas, MB and was raised in Manitou, MB. He spent 28 years in the RCAF, retiring to Manitou in 1970, to take the position of town secretary/treasurer. Earl's retirement years were spent happily enjoying his family, his garden and his woodworking. Throughout his life, Earl was an active member of the United Church. Earl was a kind, gentle soul who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the staff of Tuxedo Villa for all the compassion and kindness shown to Earl during the past year. Their cheerfulness and thoughtfulness enriched his life. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Kildonan United Church, 187 Kilbride Ave. Winnipeg, MB. Donations in Earl's name may be made to Extendicare/Tuxedo Villa, 2060 Corydon Ave. Winnipeg, MB, R3P 0N3. The Alzheimer's Society or a charity of your choice.
