Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH MICHALENKA Peacefully on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the Portage Hospital, Ruth Michalenka passed away at the age of 84 years. Ruth is survived by two sons; Alex (Lucy) and Orrist (Jean) and one daughter, Dorothy, grandchildren, Cindy (Schell) Stanley, Robert and Angie; great-grandchildren Kyle and Jordan Stanley. Also one sister Cassie of Moose Jaw and one brother John of Chilliwack, BC. Besides her husband Dan, she was predeceased by one daughter Irene, grandchildren Steven and Kirk Moore, her sisters Mary Gidyk, Anne Furman and brother Tony Tychinski and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 13 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ukrainian Catholic Church of Assumption, Portage la Prairie with interment in Hillside Cemetery. If friends so desire, contributions to Central Plains Cancer Care Services 318 Saskatchewan Ave. E., Portage la Prairie or Sunset Palliative Care Inc. Box 92, Portage la Prairie Mb.
