JOHN KAYSER On October 4, 2007, John Kayser passed away peacefully in Deer Lodge Hospital at the age of 93. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 72 years, Bernice, his grandchildren, Bradley, Leslie and Susan (Jim), and his surviving sister and brother, Marian and Fred. He was predeceased by his parents, Martha and Henry, his daughter, Ruth, and his siblings, Betty, Bob, Henry, Kathy and Margaret. John was ever the debonair and mischievous individual. His youthful days reflected a carefree enjoyment of life. He was happy to provide the best of Winnipeg to his wife and daughter, never worrying too much about the cost or the future. He bent all the rules, and had a good time doing it. Throughout his life, Gigi (as he was known in the family) or Kasey (as he was known by friends and clients) found much pleasure in following sports. Listening to broadcasted games at his desk, he would comb endlessly through the giant, dog-eared, Random House dictionary that enabled him to finish any crossword puzzle in record time. Never quick to anger, Gigi always sported a playful grin on his face and delighted in chuckling at life's follies; he had never been one to sweat the small stuff. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Concordia and Deer Lodge Hospitals for their excellent care of John during the last stages of his life. A private funeral service will be held. We miss you Gigi, and we send you all our love.
