BARRY WAYNE FLETCHER June 3, 1941 - October 9, 2007 It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of our most beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. Barry leaves to mourn his loving wife Elaine, son Mark, daughter Leanne (Rory), grandsons, Jordan, Joshua, Brennan and granddaughter Laura, brothers, Gordon (Karen) and Bill (Doris), sister-in-law Doreen, lifelong friend Don Yuel and many other friends. He was predeceased by his son Brent on March 14, 2006. Barry was a kind, loving, and generous man. We will fondly remember his soft heart, gentle smile and sense of humor. His love for his four grandchildren was immeasurable and they all adored him greatly. He loved spending time with them where he spent many hours playing in the park, watching movies, attending their events, hosting sleepovers and just relaxing with them. He especially enjoyed Jordan's Junior Steelers hockey season where he was a regular at the games and even accompanied the team to Minneapolis. One of the highlights of this past summer was taking his grandkids to Kelowna for a summer vacation. His gentle spirit, patience and generosity will forever be remembered by them. Barry worked in the finance department of Air Canada for 32 years. He loved to golf with Don and grandson Jordan. He travelled extensively with his family. Over the past several years he enjoyed spending the winters in Florida, where he developed very close friendships with many fellow snowbirds. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Barry's memory to a charity of ones choice.
