Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAN CHUBEY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dan Chubey, of Rosa, MB on October 12, 2007 at the age of 90 years. Dan was predeceased by his loving wife Susie on August 25, 1983; his parents Nazarko and Katherine; sister Lily Capek; brothers John, Jack, Frederick and Morris. He will be fondly remembered by his sons, Lawrence (Marilyn), Jarvis, and Dennis (Karen); daughters, Elsie (Doug) Kathler and Audrey (Rev. Henry) Lakusta. He was the cherished Dido of Tammy (Randy) Grieman, Angeline Lakusta, Rachel (Jeff) Smith, Tom (Cathy) Hopkins, Jason and Dan Chubey, Courtney and Kevin Chubey. His great-grandchildren, Emily, Adam and Maxwell Grieman, Nathalie Hopkins and Xander Smith will miss their Dido from the farm . Also left to mourn are brothers Sam (Mary) and Bert (Sally); sisters Anne Cummings and Audrey (Al) Johannesson; sister-in-laws, Helen Chubey, Lena Chubey, Nettie Holodryga and Anne Twedochlib; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dan was born on the family farm in Rosa, Manitoba on October 7, 1917. He farmed in the Rosa area all his life. His love for his family, the land and the animals in his care was evident in every action that he took. Dan's Faith in God was also a very important part of his life. He was one of the founding members of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Rosa and served in many capacities within the church. He took great pride in ensuring that the church, hall and cemetery grounds were immaculately groomed until August of this year. Prayers will be sung on Monday, October 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Rosa, MB. with Very Rev. Miron Pozniak and Very Rev. Henry Lakusta officiating. The Cantor will be Martin Chobotar. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dan's memory to the Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
