MARY NESTROVICH (SEGEDA SIGIOLA)

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY NESTROVICH (nee SEGEDA SIGIOLA) Mary Nestrovich passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer at the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win 5th Avenue Site Hospital on October 1, 2007 with her family by her side. Mary is predeceased by her husband Walter Nestrovich, her only son Dennis M. Nestrovich she lost in a tragic vehicle accident which she never recovered from her injuries and loss, She was also predeceased by her parents Daniel and Anne Segeda Sigiola. Mary is survived by her daughter-in-law Ruth; two grandchildren, Charlene A. Nestrovich (Bill Robinson), Matthew K. Nestrovich (Jena Warkentine); two great-grandchildren, Aalayiah D. Nestrovich and Dennis W. Robinson and one sister Betty Burdenie of Winnipeg Manitoba. Mary (mom) came to the last chapter of her book with dignity, courage and faith. She was a simple person with profound values for life, proud of her roots and her family. Her family were the apples of her life especially the baby Dennis. Mary had a good sense of humour especially when she played cards. She loved cooking, her borsht, and perogies where the best. Mary was born in Canada with Ukrainian background. Mary and her sister Betty, grew up in Winnipeg and took their schooling there. Music played a great part of her life, especially classic music. Her violin made her a great fan of Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra. Mary met her husband Walter in Winnipeg and travelled with him to Sioux Lookout, where they spent the remainder of their married life. After a long battle of her illness, Mary (mom) will join Walter, and son Dennis where her guardian angel, will welcome her to eternity. Goodbye Mom, Grandma and Friend, we love you and you will always be remembered. Rest in Peace, Till We Meet Again. Visitation was held at the Sioux Lookout Funeral Home on Thursday October 4, 2007 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. with prayers at 7:00 p.m. by Father Walter Klimchuk. Funeral Services were held on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church with Father Walter Klimchuk and Father Mike Mahoney officiating. Interment followed in Sacred Heart Cemetery by her late husband Walter. The Nestrovich family would like to give a BIG thank you to Dr. Minty, Dr. O'Driscoll, Dr. Morgan and the nurses at the 5th Avenue Hospital and the Com Care Nurse who took good care of her. Thank you to the Tamarak House and all the volunteer drive. Thank you to all the pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. Thank you to the Funeral Home Dennis Brock and Staff for doing such a good job.
