Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRIAN DARRYL MACHTALER Suddenly, on Wednesday, September 26, 2007, in the R.M. of Grey, Manitoba, Brian Darryl Machtaler was killed in a motor vehicle accident while on his way home from work. Brian was born on July 12, 1982, at the Brandon General Hospital. Brian attended O'Kelly Elementary. He then attended Crocus Plains, where he excelled at welding, mechanics and was the captain line backer of the football team. Brian's passions in life were fishing, farming, animals, and spending time with his family. In his younger years, Brian was a member of the Manitoba Poultry and Pet Stock Association, and the Manitoba Rabbit Association. He spent many hours helping care for the animals in local fairs as well as participating in showing the small animals he raised on his family's farm in the R.M. of Cornwallis. Brian met and later married Genienne Crompton on October 15, 2005, in Starbuck, Manitoba, where he resided until his untimely death. Brian is survived by his wife Genienne; mother Susan (Robert Dufresne); sisters, Crystal (Aaron), Katie (Kyle); brothers, Steven and Alex; mother and father-in-law Jack and Margaret Crompton. Brian was predeceased by his father Robert Machtaler, June 2, 1996; and his sister Amber October 6, 1989.
