STEWART GEORGE PRUDEN April 2, 1939 October 13, 2007 After a long, courageous battle, Stewart died peacefully at the Selkirk and District General Hospital at the age of 68 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Stewart and Violet, and his brother Roy. He will be very sadly missed by his wife of 49 years, Anne; daughters, Sandra and Carol (Allan) Croy; and grandsons, Calvin (Kelly, Zac and Hunter) and Tyler (Raelyne); sisters, Lorna (Jack), Shirley (Harold), Doreen (Peter), Bev (Stan), Joan (Murray); as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Stewart was raised and lived most of his life on Wavey Creek Road in Clandeboye, MB. a place he loved with all of his heart. He was the owner and operator of Pruden's Beauty Salon in the late 1960s and early 1970s, before moving on to a trucking career until his retirement in 1999. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 17 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk with The Venerable Godfrey Mawejje officiating. A private family interment of ashes to take place at a later date. Special thanks to the nurses on the medicine ward who took such care of not only Stewart, but his family as well, in his last days. Most especially to Candace, the kindness and care will never be forgotten. Also special thanks to Rev. Mawejje, who never missed a day coming to visit in the hospital.
