Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHERESA JEAN FLEURY It is with great sadness that the family of Theresa Jean Fleury wishes to announce her passing at the Concordia Hospital October 12, 2007. Theresa was born September 15, 1923 in North Battleford Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest, parents Wilfred and Marie Larose, brothers Gregory, Wilfred Jr. and Billy, sisters, Annie, Harriet, Victoria, Katie and Agatha. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Eric (Heather), Harold (Marlys), Vern (Rose), Tony (Micheline), Angie (Harold), Debbie (Ralph), Tim (Lori), Greg (Trish) as well as many more foster children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The daughter of a poor sharecropper, Theresa learned the value of hard work and the importance of family on the farm in Saskatchewan. It was here she met the love of her life; Ernest and they were married July 17, 1954. They raised a growing family over the next several years in St. Lazare and Thunder Bay, making Winnipeg their home in the late 60's. Theresa was a devote Christian and long standing member of the St. Gerard Parish who loved the fellowship and the comfort of knowing that one day she would be by the side of her Lord and Savior. She was a loving mother with a huge heart who taught her children the importance of caring for others and was always best at helping those in need. Theresa not only raised her own family but also fostered many children, giving them a stable and caring home with lots of love. Her love of children only grew with the nurturing of all her grandchildren. A truly remarkable woman who will be sadly missed by all. Viewing and prayer service will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. with funeral services being held on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Gerard Parish, 45 Foster, Winnipeg, MB with interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Lung and Heart Association.
