RAGNA MARGARETTE LITTLER (nee NORMAN) 1914 - 2007 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ragna Littler, our dear mother, sister, aunt and friend, on October 13, 2007. Ragna is survived by her loving son Norman and wife Norine of Fairfax, Virginia; sisters, Edith Petursson, Hellen Brown, Ina Pfeifer; sisters-in-law, Mary and Chloe Norman; along with numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Eric; her parents, Claude and Bertha Norman; sisters, Irene and Marion; and her brothers, Gilmour, Bertron, Walter and Robert. Ragna was born in Winnipeg on March 3, 1914 and raised in Mulvihill, MB. She began working at the age of 14, as a cook and housekeeper in various homes in Winnipeg and in the Eriksdale Hospital. She later worked at Peerless and Dubois Dry Cleaners. In 1946, she married Eric Littler. They moved to their home in St. Vital in 1949, where she resided her entire life. She was a fine, caring and gracious woman who will be missed by all who shared in her life. A special thank you to Iris Granda, Bob Watkins, Heather and Phil Smith, Gladys Tait and the medical and nursing staff at Seven Oaks Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ragna's memory may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 9Z9. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 18 at 1:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. Interment will be held on Friday, October 19 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Vital Cemetery.
