MARY WALLS INKSTER May 14, 1915 - October 13, 2007 Peacefully, on Saturday, October 13, 2007, Mary W. Inkster died at Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 92 years. Born and raised in Fort Garry, Auntie Mary attended General Steele School and St. Mary's Academy. At various times she lived in Vancouver, BC and in London, England, for six years. While in London, she toured extensively throughout Europe. When Auntie Mary returned home, in 1961, she took a bus tour from London to India. She then toured India, Thailand and other Asian countries on her own. An avid reader, she read a book a day for most of her life. She loved the Ballet, the Symphony and live theatre. Family was very important to Auntie Mary. She was very interested in the lives of her niece, nephews and their children. Auntie Mary's funeral service will held on Wednesday, October 17 at 1:00 p.m. in the Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Avenue (corner of Mount Royal Road and Ness Avenue) with Auntie Mary's nephew, Neil Inkster, presider. For those who wish, parking will be in the Seventh Day Adventist Church parking lot located on Ness Avenue. The family would like to thank the staff of 6E at Deer Lodge Centre for their excellent care. We also thank Mr. Joseph and Bob and Bonnie Joseph for the help and companionship that they gave to Auntie Mary while at Deer Lodge.
