Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN REBECCA TUCKER Peacefully on Monday, October 15, 2007 Helen Tucker passed away at the Kildonan Personal Care Home at the age of 81 years. Helen was born in Winnipeg on May 18, 1926. She leaves to mourn her passing, her sister, Emily Frances and her brother, Bernard, both from England. Helen had been a resident of Kildonan Personal Care Home for nearly four years and required considerable assistance with all activities of daily living. She was very cooperative with whatever was needed of her, very amusing at times and popular with everybody. She suffered quite a good deal as she was confined to a wheelchair. Helen travelled to England with her family as a tiny child to be with her dad's parents. Her mother returned to Winnipeg alone a few years later leaving the children with grandparents. When Helen was of age, she travelled back to Winnipeg to spend her future life here. She joined Elim Chapel and was very active with the church. She loved singing and socializing with others and sharing her affectionate nature. She looked forward to regular visits from two special friends who were very caring to Helen right to the very end. Frances is grateful that Helen was able to hang on until she arrived from England late Sunday, October 14, when she and Helen's caring friends were able to spend time with her and say their final good-byes. Special thanks are extended to the staff of the Kildonan Personal Care Home for their devotion. A graveside committal service will be held at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. in Winnipeg on Friday, October 19 at 1:00 p.m. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements 775-2220
