Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySARA WOLK 1914 - 2007 It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Sara Wolk on October 1, 2007. She was born March 20, 1914, in Winnipeg, to Leon and Rivka Tregobov. She is survived by her sister Elsie Segal (in Kelowna, BC) and her brother Harry and was predeceased by her older sister Bessie Werier. She leaves to mourn her dear husband of 67 years, Nathan (Nadie) Wolk, her children, Barry Wolk and Reeva Shaffer, her four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sara was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who doted upon her family of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and took much pride in their accomplishments, She would show pictures and tell all who would listen about their latest exploits. She enjoyed cooking, Mah Jong and especially her holiday trips to Los Angeles (to visit her family) and to Las Vegas, where she loved sitting down to hours of blackjack. She was an excellent cook, and was often referred to as Mrs. Hines, for her great family dinners. She was a volunteer at the Health Sciences Hospital, but gave this up after the death of her father at the hospital. The family wishes to thank Sara's three faithful companions Amy, Nellie and Emy, who took such loving care of her over the last two years of her life. We would also like to thank the staff of the Sharon Home for their care and comfort in her last year. Sara was truly loved and will be deeply missed by her family. Contributions in her memory can be made to The Sara and Nathan Wolk Scholarship Fund at the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba by phoning 477-7520.
