CONRAD ZIEGLER It is with sadness we announce the death of Conrad Ziegler on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Grace Hospital at the age of 82 years. Conrad will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years, Irene, his daughters, Leanne (Andy), Donna (Don) and grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew, Steven, Kaitlin and Melissa. He will also be missed by his brothers and sisters, Frances (Charlie), John, Tony, Mary (Norm), Don (Marlene), Fred (Gloria), Diane and Darlene and many nieces and nephews. Conrad was predeceased by his parents, Christian and Mary, sister and brothers, Rose, Joe and Eddy and sisters and brothers-in-law, Anne, Jean, Art and Eli. Conrad joined the military in 1943, proudly serving time in Japan and England. He left the military in 1966. He then worked for the federal government until retiring in 1980, after 37 years of service. Conrad enjoyed his retirement years spending time with his family, watching his favourite sports teams, the casinos and reading. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the third floor staff at Grace Hospital and the second floor staff at Deer Lodge Hospital for all their support and kindness. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Crestview United Church, 316 Hamilton, with Rev. Beth Rutherford officiating. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations in Conrad's memory may be made to the Salvation Army, 100-55 Donald St. Winnipeg MB R3C 1L8. You Will Always Be With Us.
