She lives on in the hearts of her Husband Jim, daughter Gayle and husband Jefferson, Grandsons, Nathan and Jared, Cecilia was predeceased by her parents, Louise and Cecil Flanagan. Cecilia was born in Winnipeg February 19, 1930. Her mother taught school in Thicket Portage, (where Cecilia had fond memories of her first school years) and Dauphin. Then back to Winnipeg where she graduated from St. Mary's Academy and went to work as a clerk with CNR. She also spent some time with the Army Reserves. She retired from CNR to marry Jim on June 30, 1962 and in 1963 were blessed with a baby girl Gayle, and soon after moved to a house in Transcona. Cecilia spent many years as a volunteer for the Music Festival, as cashier at the Planetarium Hall and made many friends with the budding singers. Her life revolved around her family and friends. She was always there with a listening ear and words of encouragement to all who needed it.
