DONNA MAE IVISON August 7, 1967 October 17, 2007 After a courageous battle with breast cancer and with her family at her side we sadly announce the passing of Donna Mae Ivison on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the Saint Boniface Palliative Care Unit. Donna is survived by her spouse Richard Thom and son Caine, Father Norm Ivison (Connie), Mother Jose Ivison (Ralph), Siblings, Darren (Paula), Michael and Stephanie, Mother- in-law Gloria Thom, Father-in-law Eric Thom, Brother-in-law Randy (Tracie), nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Born August 7, 1967 in Winnipeg MB. She attended Lavallee School and graduated from Dakota Collegiate. She worked at Shoppers Drug mart at River and Osborne for 16 years where she made many friends. Her life centered around her partner Rich and their son Caine. Donna embraced life and fought hard. She was very involved in the fight for Breast cancer and supported the cause whole-heartedly. She participated in the walk to end breast cancer this summer and was team leader for Tree for Life cancer care. She enjoyed spending her time outdoors fishing with Caine and Rich and their newly acquired cabin. Through her friends and work she touched many hearts. Donna will be sadly missed by everyone and her MSN cancer care support group. Special thanks to Saint Boniface Palliative Care Unit for their care and compassion to Donna and her family. Memorial service to be held on October 20, 2007 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers a trust fund in Donna's memory has been set up for her son Caine Thom at any TD Canada Trust.
