GAMBOA March 15, 1935 - October 14, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dearest Papa on October 14, 2007. Lolo Pulis , as he is fondly called by his grandchildren, was born in Cebu City on March 15, 1935 and grew up in Manila, Philippines. He was predeceased by his wife, Violeta, his father, Roberto, Sr. and mother, Lydia. Papa was a retired Police Officer of the Quezon City Police Department when he came to Canada on December 26, 1994. He was an honorable man who constantly instilled in his family the virtues of integrity, honesty and respect. Leaving to mourn him deeply are his children, MaryAnn (Bernie) Jiao and children, Marichelle, Mary Christine and Ma. Diosa; Rachel (Manuel) Petrasanta and children, Angeli, Matthew and Mariel; Dennis (Angeli) and children, Denise and Kathleen; Annabelle (Albert) Grospe and son, Alvin; and Crispin (Mercy) and children, Dunhill, Let-Let and Elisha. He will also be sadly missed by his brothers Roberto Jr., Reynaldo, Butch from the Philippines and Eddie from California and their families; cousins Marlene and Ante Tameta from Toronto, Carding Cruz, and the Hernandez families from California and close family friends here in Winnipeg especially the Campers who he spent his last Thanksgiving Day with. Special thanks to the emergency staff at the Health Sciences Centre and to all our friends who came to comfort us in our grief. Lamay will be held on Friday, October 19, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at the Knysh Funeral Home, 1020 Main St. Mass officiated by Father Mar Batucan will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at St. Edward's Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in the Philippines. Papa, little did we know that when you kept saying you were going home meant that you are going home to Heaven. Goodbye and give our love and kisses to Mama .
