REETTA KATARIINA SINDELL (nee RISLAHTI) It is with sadness that her family announces the sudden death of Reetta Sindell on October 11, 2007 in Montreal. Reetta is survived by her loving husband Peter and daughter Emma, her mother Maija, brother Jukka (Elisabeth) and niece Kate, the Ylonen family of Lac du Bonnet, as well as numerous relatives in Canada, the United States and Finland. Reetta's father Heikki passed away in 1998. Reetta attended Isaac Brock and Daniel McIntyre schools in Winnipeg, before going to study music at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. She returned to Canada in 1967 to work as a hostess at Expo '67 and settled in Montreal. She worked as an artist and fashion designer for many years. Reetta was a gentle and artistic soul, who loved people regardless of origin, and animals regardless of shape or size. She very much enjoyed meeting old friends at the 1998 Daniel McIntyre re-union. Memorial services will be held in November in Montreal and Victoria.
