THELMA MARTHA LANGNER Thelma Langner, aged 91 years, of Winnipeg, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg. Thelma will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Marlene (Ken) Kiel, Diane (Ed) Stevenson and Brenda, son Gerry (Barb), grandsons Kevin (Bev) Kiel and Brad (Debbie) Kiel and Cory Langner, granddaughter Amanda Lariviere (Eric), great-grandsons, brother Albert Selch, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nephews and numerous friends. She was predeceased by her husband Roy, sons Gregory and Cliff, daughter Cheryl, her father August, mother Amelia, five brothers Wilhelm, Leo, Edward, Fred and Art and two sisters Alvine and Hilda. Thelma was born in Brokenhead, MB, on August 30, 1916. She married Roy Langner on March 26, 1938, and resided in Beausejour until 1972. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church throughout her years in Beausejour, singing in the choir and taking part in the ladies aid group. In 1972 they became members of Faith Lutheran Church, where she spent many happy hours with the birthday club. Mom was a shy, gentle soul who was readily liked by anyone who got to know her. She was happiest when surrounded by her family. Mom, you have no idea how much you will be missed. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 22, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota Street, Winnipeg, with interment in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Beausejour, MB, at 4:00 p.m. Friends may view at the church prior to the service. We would like to thank the nurses and aides on the third floor of the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg for the wonderful care they gave Mom.
