CARL DONALD HENDRICKSON After a short but courageous battle, Don passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2007, at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 74 years. Remaining to forever cherish Don's memory are his wife Rose of Lac du Bonnet; daughter Diane of Edmonton, Alberta; son Matthew of London, England; siblings, Bud (Joan) of Surrey, BC and Joyce (Neil) of Winnipeg; as well as numerous nieces and nephews across western Canada. He was predeceased by his father Arthur; mother Jennie; and brother Claude. Don was born on April 2, 1933 in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, and was raised in the Riverland area. Though he worked in many areas of Canada as a Mechanic and in later years as a Hoist man at various mines he always seemed to be drawn back home to Riverland and Lac du Bonnet where he was living with his wife, Rose, at the time of his death. In compliance with Don's wishes a private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don's memory to the Royal Canadian Legion #164, 45 McArthur Avenue, Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, R0E 1A0.
