ELSIE EVELYN SMITH On Saturday, October 13, 2007 our beloved Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 87 years. Remaining to forever cherish Elsie's memory are her daughter Evelyn (Ted) and their sons, Jeffrey (Astrid) and Curtis; daughter Kathleen (Peter) and her son George (Diane) and their daughter Cassandra and son Don (Kerry); great-grandchildren, Max, Freddie, Cordelia, Sadie, Anastasia, Keyara and Brady. She was predeceased by her husband George on October 5, 1999. Mom was born in Tyndall, Manitoba on March 15, 1920. She was the third youngest of 13 children (all deceased) born to Christian and Karen Mouritzen, who emigrated from Denmark. She was employed in the personnel field at Manitoba Bridge and BACM. Our family was blessed with a kind, patient and loving Mom. We will remember her wisdom and support always. In compliance with Mom's wishes a private family service has taken place. Mom valued the kindness and care given to her by Dr. Gooi, Dr. Homik and Dr. Kerr; by the staff at Home Care and Grace Hospital and by the staff and residents at Metropolitan Courts.
