She will be sadly missed by grandchildren, Amanda Rozyk (Matt Wonko), Terra Morrissette, Jodi Morrissette (Sean Pauls), Chantel and Riley Agius; great-grandchildren, Joey and Emily Morrissette. Delores also leaves to mourn her brother Dallas Whitesell and wife Mary; sister Wanda Mae Nadeau and husband Joe; sisters in-law, Irene and Doris Whitesell, Marie Kowalski and husband Stan; life time friend Charlotte Bansfield and husband Oliver; special friends Ollie and husband Earl Stopera; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her infant brother Joey (1953); father Perry (1974); mother Karoline (1984), brothers, Jerry (1985) and Billy (1987); and her life time friend Patsy Johnson (2005). Delores was born in Winnipeg on October 20, 1935, where she lived most of her life. She married Elie Morrissette on July 3, 1954. She was dedicated to her family; a loving Mother who always put everyone else before herself. She enjoyed travelling all over North America with Dad in their motorhome visiting friends and family. Delores will always be remembered as a gentle and caring woman who will be greatly missed by all who loved her. In keeping with Delores' wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Delores' memory to the Riverview Foundation, 1 Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 2P4 or CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3E 0V9. The family would like to send their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff on Floor 3 East at Riverview Health Centre, especially to Ashley Tocher and Marlene who provided compassion and care to Mom and her family during her stay. Mom we will forever cherish your courage, strength and dignity. You are finally free to travel unencumbered to wherever your soul desires.
