Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN ROSE GMITROWSKI November 8, 1936 October 17, 2007 Helen Rose Gmitrowski (nee Painter) aged 70 years of Beausejour, beloved wife of Ted, tragically passed away October 17, 2007. Helen is survived by husband Ted; children, Kim (Bill) Worthington, Leslie (Ron) Spokes, Barb (George) Scharer, Tammie (Bruce) Murray and Ted (Michele) Gmitrowski. Helen is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, siblings Ron (Leona), Joan (Bernard), Georgina (Eldon), Tom, Lorne (Orlia), Pattie (Brian). Helen was predeceased by her parents, George and Lorna, and son-in-law Wade. Helen's passions included woodworking, cooking and baking. She was also an expert with a sewing machine. Everyone knew her for her impressive salt and pepper collection, accumulated from her vacations and friends' journeys all over the world. Helen loved bingo and getting together with her friends, especially her weekly outing to Lac du Bonnet to get her hair done and play bingo at the senior's center. A service in Celebration of Helen's Life will be held at Sobering Funeral Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2007. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, Manitoba CancerCare or the Humane Society.
