ERNIE LOEWEN Peacefully on Friday, October 19, 2007 at Riverview Health Centre, Ernie Loewen, beloved husband of Elsie passed away at the age of 53 years after a short battle with a brain tumor. Besides his loving wife he is survived by his son Scott (Scooter); his parents, Peter and Katie Loewen, brother Rick (Ingrid); mother-in-law Elsie Braun and brothers-in-law; Rudy (Dianne) Braun and their children Lisa and Amy; Ronny (Kathy) and sisters-in-law; Hildy (Walt) Dyck and their children, Ryan and Chris, Monika (Glen) MacAngus and their children, Sydney and Cameron. Ernie was born in Winnipeg in 1954 where he lived all his life . He married Elsie in August of 1980 . Their son Scott was born in September of 1985. Ernie enjoyed almost anything - sports, either playing or watching his son play, special movie nights with Derek, walking (which he and Elsie did every day after work) and baking his famous pizza on Friday nights. Ernie was a loving husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to Riverview Health Centre for their care in the past few days. We could not have gone through this without their kind/professional/human care. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at First Mennonite Church, Notre Dame and Alverstone, with Reverend Franz Wiebe officiating, with viewing at the church prior to the service. If I could sit across the porch from God, I'd thank him for the morning, and starry skies, For memories and this feeling we call love, I'd thank him for the hopes and dreams of this sweet life, but most of all I'd thank him for lending me you. We miss you Ern, Walt and Hildy - Posted by: Hildy Dyck (Family) on: Oct 18, 2008
