DORIS HARRISON (nee TKACHUK) Peacefully, on October 19, 2007, our beloved mother and grandmother, Doris Harrison, passed away at the Fred Douglas Lodge at the age of 87 years. Doris leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her daughter Audrey (Nick), son Don; grandchildren, Debora (David), Nicole, DJ, Kristi-Marie; three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Edison and Elle and her sister Anne Prokipchuk. A loving mother and grandmother, Doris enjoyed her family get-togethers, providing wonderful home cooked meals which often included her specialty, perogies. Besides her family, reading was also an important part of her life. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at Fred Douglas Lodge for their compassionate care and kindness. Funeral services to be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 1:00 pm at the Transcona Funeral Chapel 1800 Day Street with Fr. Henry Laciak officiating. Interment to follow at the Transcona Cemetery. Calm and peaceful she is sleeping, Blessed rest that follows pain. We who love her sadly miss her. And trust in God to meet again. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
