ESTHER FAUN YOUNG (HOLBROOK) On October 17, 2007 Esther Faun Young passed away at the age of 93 at St. Joseph's Residence. Mom leaves to mourn her passing, her daughters, Lee Dephoure (Gerry) of Tampa, Florida, Eloise Reive of Langley, BC, Olie Wold of Langley, BC, Valerie Lauze (Gilles) of Winnipeg; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Oliver in 1991; and son Russel in 1949; her three brothers, Ernie, Ray and Harry Holbrook; her sister Lavonne Bailey and her mother and father Gordon and Ida Holbrook. Mom was born in Miles City, Montana, USA on November 24, 1913, moving to the Swan River Valley area with her family at an early age. Later she met and married Oliver Young in Birch River, where they raised their family. They lived in Birch River until moving to Winnipeg in 1983. Esther enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, bingo and her casino. She loved her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren dearly. Mom was a thoughtful, caring person who always put others first and she had always had time to listen. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at St. Joseph's Residence and Seven Oaks hospital for their compassionate care. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. Donations if desired may be made to the Parkinson Society Canada or Canadian Cancer Society. Love you too pieces Nanny, you'll be dearly missed.
