SARA DEUTSCHER Sara Deutscher passed away suddenly on October 20, 2007 at the Health Sciences Centre. Predeceased by her husband Simon, she is survived by her beloved sons, Raymond (Carla) and David (Heather) and her granddaughter Ilana. Born in Poland, she was torn from and lost her family in the Holocaust. She met Simon in Europe after the war and they began their new life together. Son David and a immigration to Canada came shortly afterward. Years of hard work and dedication to the home and family business along with son Raymond followed. She lived her life with and achieved her goals of being a good wife, mother and baba. Her self reliance continued throughout her widowhood until the very end. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, October 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chesed Shel Emes Chapel, 1023 Main St, If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Sara Deutscher Fund at the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba or to a charity of choice.
