JOHN ERIC (JAN-ERIK) ROOS April 8, 1922 - October 20, 2007 Peacefully, on Saturday, October 20, 2007, John Eric Roos, of Libau, MB (formerly of Umea, Sweden and later Winnipeg), passed away at the age of 85 years. Eric will be sadly missed and forever cherished by his wife Joyce, daughters, Lisa-Maj (Valentin) of Calgary, Kai (Chris) of Vancouver, son Christopher (Tonya) of Libau, his adored grandchildren, Annalise, Emily and Dorian, sisters, Margareta (Russell) of Montreal, Mary (Allen) and Elsie (Peter) of Winnipeg, sister-in-law Phyllis and cousin Ole of British Columbia and his many nieces and nephews. Eric was predeceased by his father Gosta, mother Inga and brothers, Robert and Olaf. A special thank you to Susan, Carol and Germaine for their kindness and compassion during Dad's illness, the nurses and staff at Selkirk and District General Hospital, Dr's Morgan, Unruh and Demsas for their care. Leo and Bob for all their help and friendship. In accordance with Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place. An open house tea will be held in Dad's memory at Gilbart Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2007.
