MARIA PETERS Maria Martens Peters' struggle with cancer ended October 21, 2007, when she was mercifully taken into glory at the age of 87. She was born in the Grunthal, MB, area March 27, 1920, and later moved to Niverville where she spent the rest of her life. She was predeceased by her husband Jacob W. and grandson Christopher Derksen. She is survived by her son Frank (Sharon), daughters, Mary (David Doern), Margaret (Michael Derksen) and her son Theodore (Lise). Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, October 24 at 7:30 p.m. with a devotional at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m. with interment at the Niverville Heritage Cemetery.
