ALLAN LAURIE BIRD Peacefully on October 22, 2007 in Victoria, BC at the age of 86 years. Born in Transcona, Manitoba on November 19, 1920, he is survived by Madeline, his beloved wife of 65 years; two sons, Allan (Darlene) and Francis (Laura); four grandchildren, Angie (Don), Vincent, Steven (Pamela) and Lily; two great-grandsons, Brett and Corey; four sisters-in-law, Angeline, Genevieve (Leslie), Wynn and Lorraine; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Allan was a long time employee of Saults and Pollard Ltd. of Winnipeg. A generous man, loved by all, he will be greatly missed. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in ST. ANDREW'S CATHEDRAL, Blanshard and View Streets, on Thursday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined; tributes, if desired, may be made to a charity of one's choice.
