JESSIE DAVIDSON Peacefully, on Monday, October 22, 2007, Jessie Hannah Davidson (Nee McArthur) passed away at the Charleswood Care Center at the age of 96 years. Jessie was born at Swan River, Manitoba on September 1, 1911, the daughter of Margaret and Archibald McArthur. She is survived by her three granddaughters, Deanna (James) Haggarty of Athabasca, Alberta, Trina (Andrew Sinclair) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Melissa (Gary) Horbas of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and their mother Wilda Davy and two sons, Andrew and Patrick Maxwell, and three great-grand-children, Cody Haggarty, Dallin Haggarty, and Nolan Horbas. She also leaves two sisters, Lillian Dunn, and Evelyn Suggitt, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Walter, son Robert, brother John and two sisters, Maude (Gordon) and Edith (McIntosh), and great-grandson Braden Haggarty. In 1943, on November 25, Jessie married Walter Davidson. They farmed in the Lidstone district, and spent their winters down south until retiring to Winnipeg in 1980. She was a member of the Lidstone Women's Institute, Rebekah Lodge, and 4H. She will be remembered for her kindness, gentle nature, and strength. She was a treasure and a real joy to be with. The memories she has left will be a healing for our sorrow. We are grateful for a very caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 26, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment will take place at a later date in Swan River.
