LAWRENCE CHARLES HOOPER It is with deep sadness that we announce the accidental death of Larry Hooper, aged 56 years, on Friday, October 19, 2007. Larry was born in Winnipeg, MB on June 2, 1951. Larry was predeceased by his mother Marie-Josie Hooper in 1978 and father Thomas Charles Hooper in 2003. Larry leaves to mourn his loving spouse Patricia of St. Albert, Alberta, daughter Jolene (Jamie McKinstrie) of Inuvik, NWT, brother Glenn (Sharon) and family of Winnipeg, Manitoba and numerous family members. Many businesses such as CNR, Boilermakers Union Local 555, Shell Canada, Cat-Tech and Eveready, helped Larry to achieve his lifelong goal of owning and managing his own business - Weld-Tech Services. Those who were closest to Larry knew he always lived his life as though today would be his last day. He worked hard and he played hard. Larry had a flair for storytelling and would keep his family and friends entertained for hours. His passions in life were his family and friends combined with his love for his numerous sporting activities. Larry spent many hours over the past 24 years with his daughter sharing and teaching her a collage of his life skills. A celebration of Larry's life will be held at Gold Dust Casino (Platinum Centre), 24 Bordreau Road, St. Albert on Friday, October 26, 2007 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friends who so wish may make memorial donations directly to the charity of one's choice. Connelly-McKinley St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Dr., (790) 458-2222 to send condolences: www.connelly-mckinley.com.

  • First memory of Larry was at an athletic meet near Glenlawn Collegiate, in St Vital. We were from Beliveau Jr High, Windsor Park. Whilst waiting to compete in our respective events, about six of us were horsing around at the edge of the field, near a golf hole. Larry was putting with an invisible putter. Don't remember how we did at that sports day. Do remember how atheletic and fun Larry was... always the life of a gathering. - Posted by: Michelle (Mitzi) Isaac (Friend) on: Oct 25, 2007
