Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUBY MARIA SCHOTT (nee DAVIS) April 6, 1922 - October 22, 2007 Peacefully with her loving family by her side Ruby passed away at Stonewall and District Hospital on October 22, 2007. She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted husband Ron of 62 years and their four sons Wade (Carol), the twins Rae and Lee, Rick and daughter-in-law Darlene; grandchildren Michael (Jana), Bonnie (John), Genevieve, Neil, Kyle, Blair, Christian, Adam, Shaun, Tyson (Marilyn), Denise (Ryan); great-grandchildren Dane, Erin, Derek, Rebecca, Jordan. Ruby was predeceased by her parents Charles (1969) and Martha Davis (1971); her two brothers Elmer (1955), and Grant (1990); and her sister Doris McRae (1994). Ruby started her career working at George Mclean's Wholesale in Winnipeg. Her after work activity included skating at the roller rink where she met the love of her life, Ron. They married on July 3, 1945, and started their life in Woodlands. In her younger years Ruby was a avid curler. Ruby was a dedicated community member and a devoted member of the Anglican Church and also assisted teaching Sunday School. She was a great cook and loved to knit. After she raised her family she worked for Eaton's, The Bay and Sears. They resided in Woodlands until 2000 when they moved to Lions Manor and then moved to Stonewood Place in 2006. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Stonewall and District Hospital for the special care given to Ruby. Also a big thank you to all the home care workers who helped care for Ruby over the years. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 27 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Rev. Stephen Sharman will officiate with Mr. Bob Boyd assisting with the readings. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. A Beautiful Life A Beautiful Life That came to an end. She died as she lived, Everyone's friend.
