ETTA BRAEMER It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, babba and great babba, Etta Braemer on October 22, 2007 at the age of 78. She will be sadly missed by her son Brian (Charlotte), daughter Mindy, grandchildren Kimberly (Jerry), Courtney (Kennie), Donny, Jessica; great-grandchildren, Brennan, Josh, Nicholaas, Lee and Riley, nieces and nephews. She will be reunited with her husband David Braemer, brother Ernest and her parents Karl and Fanny Charlat. Etta was born March 8, 1929 in Poland. Mom came to Canada in 1931, and settled in Winnipeg to begin her family. Babba showed her true passionate and giving spirit by volunteering at Seven Oaks Hospital. She obtained her counselling certificate and spent many dedicated hours at the Jewish Family Services helping countless families in need of support. Babba was a patient lady who taught us the importance of family devotion, selflessness and compassion. She was a courageous and generous woman who led her life to the fullest. She will be sadly missed and loved forever. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Foundation in her memory. A private burial service was held on October 25, 2007 at the Bnay Abraham Cemetery with Rabbi Landers officiating. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the doctors and nursing staff on the fifth floor of the Women's Pavillion who made Babba's stay as comfortable as possible.
