BRIAN THOR PALSSON September 27, 1952- October 17, 2007 It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of our father, grandfather, brother and friend. Brian passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the age of 55 years. Brian was born to Bjorgvin and Margaret Palsson in Gimli, Manitoba on September 27, 1952. His profession gave him the opportunity to travel extensively and work in a variety of positions. Brian is survived by his daughter Shannon Smith (Barry), his son Shawn Palsson (Dawn) and their mother Shelley Palsson; his grand-children Ashley and Cassidy; his sister Kristine Zeglinski (Bill), his sister Arlene Bowman (George), his brother Harold Palsson (Christina) and his companion Julia Stewart. He will also be missed by many extended family members, nephews, nieces and friends. He was predeceased by his father Bjorgvin in 1984 and his mother Margaret in 1986. A memorial service will be held at the Gilbart Funeral Home in Selkirk, Manitoba on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. At Brian's request his ashes will be interred in Hnausa, Manitoba prior to the service. Flowers are gratefully declined; those so wishing may contribute in Brian's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 2B7.
