THOMAS (TOM) EDWARD ADAMSSON It is with sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our uncle Thomas (Tom) Adamsson on Monday, October 22, 2007, at the Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 80 years. Remaining to forever cherish Tom's memory are his nieces and nephews, Patricia (the late Arthur) Timkew of Winnipeg, Francine (Paul) Wilde of Vegreville, Alberta, Catherine (Bob) Gray of Orleans, Ontario, Michael (Janine) Richards of Winnipeg, and Brian (Esther) Richards of Atikokan, Ontario. He was especially fond of his great-nieces and great-nephews and their children, by whom he will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed. Tom was predeceased by his beloved wife Josephine (Jo) in December 2006. Tom was born in Toronto, Ontario, on December 15, 1926. In 1962 he moved to Fort Churchill, Manitoba, where he worked as the Project Accountant for Pan American World Airways at the Churchill Research Range. It was there that Tom met and married Jo in 1964. They moved to Winnipeg in 1970, where he resided until his passing. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 29 at 10:30 a.m. in the Blessed John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Avenue at Rouge Road, with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P. H., presiding. Entombment will follow in the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum in the Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. The family would like to thank Tom's former neighbours, John and Helen Wiebe, for their care and compassion in helping him through a very difficult time in his life. We are truly grateful for your kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, 730 Taylor Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3M 2K8, or the Renal Department of the Health Sciences Centre, MS7-820 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1R9. Rest in peace, Tom.
