ANGELA ZIRINO Peacefully on October 27, 2007, at the St. Boniface Hospital, Angela Zirino passed into the hands of the Lord. Angela was predeceased by her loving husband, Michele, her parents Carmine and Rosa Militano; her brothers, Giovanni, Nino, and Carmime Militano; sister Rosina Luppino and sister-in-law Carmela Militano. She is survived by her children Joe (Marisa) and grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, and Nicholas; Carmine (Marcy) and grandchildren, Jacob and Annika; and Maria Albi (John) and grandchildren, Joseph, Dante and Tessangela; as well as her brothers, Domenico, Rocco (Alphonsina) and Joe (Shirley) Militano; brother-in-law, Domenico Lupino, sisters-in-law, Annunziata, Lina, Domenica Militano and many friends and relatives. Angela was born in Acquaro di Cosoleto, Italy on January 25, 1930. Angela came to Canada in 1955. She married her husband, Michele in 1963. Together, they worked hard to build a life for their family. Angela's love and generosity knew no bounds and her door was always open. Angela loved gardening and spent countless hours in her vegetable and flower garden. She took great pride and joy in providing her children and grandchildren with hearty meals. She was so proud of each grandchild and was always at their beck and call, spending many happy hours watching them grow. She always put the needs of others before her own, never declining an opportunity to help or babysit. Prayers will be said at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue, on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at the Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley St. Pallbearers will be Carmine Militano, Carmelo Militano, Tony Militano, Carmine Militano, Rocco Giampaulo, John Militano and Joe Leuzzi. The family wishes to thank the Palliative Care staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their kindness and compassion. It was truly a blessing for the family to have such a professional and caring team. Special thanks to Uncle Domenic and Auntie Lina for all their hours spent at Mom's side and to Sister Agnes for her prayers.
