OLYA HLYNSKY It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Olya Hlynsky, on Monday, October 29, 2007, at Holy Family Home in Winnipeg, MB. Olya was born in Zolochiv in the Lviv region of Ukraine on March 22, 1912. She was predeceased by her parents, Ivan and Paraskevia Hupaliwsky; brother Bohdan and sister Irena in the Ukraine; her husbands, Joseph Stebnicki and Very Rev. Myroslaw Hlynsky and her precious daughter Lesia Kapty. She is fondly remembered and deeply missed by her daughter Luba (John) Ewashko; son Bohdan Stebnicky; son-in-law Vlad Kapty and daughter-in-law Marlene Tennant; grandchildren, Patricia (Jim), and Laurence Ewashko, Larissa Solomon, Darusia (John) Kozelko, Tara (Chad) and Sophie (John) Stebnicky, great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Nicolas and Timon Kozelko, Kayla and Jacob Solomon and Liam Stebnicky. Olya was actively involved in the Ukrainian and church communities all of her life. She was a talented seamstress who created many unrivalled wedding gowns and whose embroidery graces many churches. Her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren are proud to wear the blouses and shirts embroidered by Baba. Panachyda will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Jaroslaw Buciora, at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2007. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Andrew's Cemetery, South Bound Brook, New Jersey, USA. Special thanks to Dr. T.R. Babick and the compassionate staff at 3A, Holy Family Home for their devotion and dedicated care of Olya.
