WALTER HILL It is with deep sadness, the family announces the peaceful passing of Walter Hill, on October 29, 2007 at the Donwood Manor at the age of 83 years. Wally will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Hilda, children, Judy, Ken (Shirley), Ruth (Ken), grandchildren Don, Michael, Kelly, Mandy, Amber, Ashley and Kyle. Walter is predeceased by his parents Martha and John, his brothers Tom and Fred and sister Margaret. At the age of 17, Dad enlisted in the RCAF, serving as an aircraft mechanic from 1941 to 1945. Once the war ended, he returned to his trade as a printer in the envelope industry working for the same company for 49 years. He retired from DRG Globe Envelopes in 1989. After retirement, he enjoyed his hobbies of hunting and fishing. His real passion was building and flying radio controlled model aircraft with the Saints R/C Flying Club, where he enjoyed the fellowship of many good friends. Dad was a devoted family man, who was always there for family and friends. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Donwood Manor Personal Care Home for their care and support of Dad over the last year. Their support for the family over this last difficult week is greatly appreciated. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home.
