Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOREEN BARRON (nee BLYTHE) On the morning of October 29, 2007, our beloved Wife, Mother and Nonie peacefully passed into the arms of her Lord at the Grace Hospital. Doreen will be sadly missed by her husband Bill; children and grandchildren, Jo-Anne and Grant Shay and their children, Kelsey, Erin and Kaitlyn; Rick and Cheryl Barron and their children, Krista, Jenna and Corynne and Lorene and Glen Peters and their children, Nicole and Blair. Doreen is survived by one sister Shirlee and Dr. Rod Millar. She was predeceased by her grandson Kevin Shay. Doreen was born in Winnipeg, the daughter of Fred and Dougalda Blythe. Doreen and Bill were married in 1949 and recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on October 13. Throughout their lives they lived in Winnipeg, Regina, Port Arthur, Fort William and Toronto. Mom always created a warm and loving home and made many lifelong friends, wherever she went. Doreen found tremendous joy in sharing and supporting in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She found great comfort in the teachings of the Bible and was an inspiration to all she touched. Doreen's innocent sense of humour will leave us many cherished memories. In 1998 Doreen was diagnosed with breast cancer. She endured a brave and quiet battle, forever maintaining her compassionate and proud disposition. Her strength of will, generosity and love of family through this time were truly an inspiration to us all. The family would like to thank Dr. Heather Frame, Dr. Pat Harris and all the caring staff at Grace Hospital - 3 North. A special thank you is extended to nurses Tracy and Dana, whose sincerity and compassion was greatly appreciated. We will sadly miss our precious angel, but are comforted that He must have needed you more. We will remember you always, we love you, God Bless. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Grace Cancer Care Foundation, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007, at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again. You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide You live on through your children, you're always by our side. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone For part of us went with you on the day God called you home. God Bless Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 885-9715
